Friday 18 September 2015 Venue: Various venues in Co. Mayo Culture Night 2015 will take place on 18 September and promises a memorable cultural experience for Mayo audiences, with a record number of twenty-seven cultural organisations and groups busily preparing varied programmes of activity for the evening. People of all ages are encouraged to take advantage of this night of cultural adventure and discovery, as participating cultural venues and groups pull out all the stops to produce an unforgettable and unique evening of FREE cultural experiences for all to enjoy. The night has been extremely well received by Mayo audiences, last year almost 3000 people came out to celebrate the night. Regardless of where you are in the county there will be a Culture Night event taking place nearby with events planned for Acaill, Ballina, Ballinrobe, Ballintubber, Ballycastle, Ballycroy, Béal an Mhuirthead, Ceathrú Thaidhg, Castlebar, Charlestown, Claremorris, Kilkelly, Knock, Laherdane, Lecanvey, Mulranny, Swinford, Tuar Mhic Éadaigh, Turlough & Westport. Imagination and creativity have been plentifully in the excellent programmes that have made past Culture Nights extremely successful and 2015 will not disappoint. So whether you plan to bring the children, catch up with friends, meet new people, participate, interact or experience the excitement of free entry, live performances, workshops, tours, talks, drama, dance and creative events galore all free of charge, Culture Night Mayo will have something for everyone! Culture Night is brought to you by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in partnership with Mayo County Council.
